In a move which residents may see as ‘not before time’ to put it mildly, the CAA is conducting a survey into aircraft noise, which can be found here:

Though a modest step perhaps, it remains to be seen whether this signals any change in perception of the need for a radical overhaul of the way noise and its impact on residents is understood, measured and controlled.
